Support and encourage the pastor in his/her responsibility of providing well organized and meaningful worship services. (soliciting input and providing feedback)

Support and encourage the Director of Music in his/her role of managing the music programs.

Enlist & encourage adults, youth and children to share their gifts in worship leadership.  (including liturgist, music, dance, media, instrumental, drama, volunteering, etc.)

Establish criteria for hire, and with the Trustees’ personnel committee, provide input to the evaluation of music staff.  Support the creation of job descriptions for each of the music staff.

Ensure liturgy is planned for special services

Help the pastor with Communion and Baptism sacraments

Ensure banners, visual arts, floral decorations and candles are provided

Provide usher and liturgist training

Ensure good audio/visual capability exists for the worship service

Develop policies regarding worship

Develop and monitor worship budgets

Define usher, liturgist, communion server, greeter roles and fill these roles

Obtain and maintain physical assets – robes, folders, organ, pianos, musical instruments
