Throughout the 20th century, people have given great gifts to our church in the form of stained glass windows.  Most of the windows were dedicated with the sanctuary in May, 1906.  Our windows were rededicated at a Ceremony on October 31, 1999.  At that time members of the congregation shared their feelings about the windows (in blue below).  We hope this page will be meaningful to you and provide a bit of insight into our community of faith.  (This page may load slowly due to the quality photos.)  Click here to find out more information on those who the windows memorialize.  Click here to see the new millennium stained glass windows dedicated in 2007.

Barnard Memorial Window

As the lilies glow in the sunlight, reminding us of renewal and resurrection.

The lilies, how gloriously they clothe our sanctuary.

"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil or spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not clothe you - you of little faith?"

Matthew 6:27-29

They went to a place called Gesthsemane and he said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” ....He threw himself on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

Mark 14:32,35

My children always loved going to the sanctuary to “See Jesus.”

When the light comes through, Jesus’ halo glows.

Soothing and uplifting, giving me a feeling of serenity.

I think how hard Jesus is praying.

Mary Lee Memorial Window

I remember the happiness I felt standing before it on my wedding day.

They found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.  And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.  When his parents saw him they were astonished; and his mother said to him, "Look, your father and I have been searching for you in great anxiety."

He said to them, "Why were you searching for me?  Did you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

Luke 2:46-49

Henry H. Goodrich Memorial Window

“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry.”

John 6:35

James Nichols Memorial Window

I have a great appreciation for the beauty of these windows.

So many symbols that blend nature and faith.

Willard Scott Memorial Window

A sense of spirituality fills the sanctuary.

These symbols in glass remind us that we are people of God.

For us, these windows create a feeling of peace and love.

Cody Window

They are a constant backdrop for the exciting and diverse people who are a part of our worship.

Crampton Window

Our work may use buildings and windows...…but our work has its purpose beyond them.
