April 18:  Women’s Fellowship Banquet

One of the first things you need to do is to think about spending an evening with "the girls"! This is our Women's Banquet, which is happening on Friday, April 18 in the Community Room. We will have a delicious catered dinner which begins at 6:30 p.m. This will be served by a crew of our "menfolk", and then we will be taken back through time to some of the mysteries of Naperville, as we listen to Brian Ogg, who comes to us from the Naper Settlement. Tickets are available at Fellowship Time for $15 per individual or two tickets for $25. Most of you know that this is the 175th Anniversary Year for our First Congregational Church UCC. The title of Brian Ogg's program is "Dip into Naperville's Past......." which involves the title we have for the evening's activities --- "LISTEN to the past......" We of the Women's Fellowship Board hope that this will link you to the past as we go beyond the past and current times to look at the items before us when we "Awaken to the Promise.”

April 19 and 20: AWAKEN TO THE PROMISE: Listen

Please make every effort to participate in our discussions that weekend with Rev. Anthony (Tony) Robinson, UCC pastor and consultant, who is coming to help guide us through more of our “listening” phase of this 175th Anniversary year theme: “AWAKEN TO THE PROMISE: Listen, Imagine, Ignite!” Tony will meet with us as leaders and members in various settings that Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon. There is a special nine page article by Tony available at church or online entitled It's a Whole New World to help you prepare your thoughts for that conversation.  Help us make this a valuable and meaningful exploration into who and what God is calling us to be and do as we enter into our next 175 years of Christian life and service!

June 23-26, 2008 United Vacation Bible School

Children are invited to ride the wave of God’s love at summer Vacation Bible School’s, Beach Party: Surfin’ Through the Scriptures from June 23 - 26. This program is a celebration of God’s love and a chance for children to learn new Beach Be-Attitudes. Registration begins on April 6! Come ride the wave with us!
