We promise to pray, alone and together, to thank God and to ask for God’s help in our lives and in our work for our Church. We promise to listen to God’s answer to us, whether directly or through others. We promise to respect and care for each other. We promise to listen with an open mind to the words and ideas of others in our Church. We promise to work together to further God's work in the world. We promise to live our relationships according to the spirit and teachings of Jesus Christ. We promise to contribute to the ministries of the church and our missions efforts in the world. We promise to diligently seek the spiritual welfare of the Congregation, and the winning of others to Christ. We promise to try to discover what is best for our Church as a whole, not what may be best for us as individuals, or for small groups within the church. We promise to be a safe haven for Children. Knowing that living this covenant is a lifelong process of learning and caring, we ask God to help us. We covenant with God and each other! September 12, 2004 |
