Our mission is to nurture the faith of our youth so that they might come to recognize the presence of God within them and around them whether in their families, their local communities or around the world through a relationship with the Still Speaking God. Whether six or sixteen, educating the youth of our church in is one of our top priorities.
Our Sunday School Classes meet as follows
– Pre School – 5th Grade Sunday School classes meets weekly during the Sunday Church Service. Children attend the service with their families and are excused after the children’s message to go with their teachers to class.
– High School students and their friends meet for Sunday School from September through May, one hour prior to the start of the Sunday Church Service.
– This important faith “rite of passage” is made over a two year period. 8th and 9th graders learn about theology, church history and the denomination. During confirmation they are invited to affirm their baptism and make a commitment to be Jesus’ active followers in his continuing ministry. They walk this journey together with their mentors, pastors, parents and teachers. The experience culminates with a confirmation service where they are invited to join the church. Additional gatherings, field trips and retreats supplement the experience. Confirmation Classes meet Sunday afternoons once a month.
– Adult Education classes are held before worship each Sunday covering various topics including Bible, Theology, Inter-faith, Social Justice, Church History, Faith Practices..
