Our sanctuary, with its beautiful stained glass windows and 100-year-old Austin pipe organ was dedicated in 1906 and provides the perfect worship setting. Worship services are held every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Childcare is provided in our nursery. Youth participate in the first half of the service after which preschool through fifth graders attend Christian Education classes.
Our worship style uses traditional liturgy, with an inclusive focus and progressive theology. All participants are given an order of worship that is easy to follow, so whether you’ve participated in Christian worship before or not, you’ll be able to follow along.
Music is an important, vital part of our service with a variety of hymns and musical genres explored. Our church community is blessed with a wealth of musical talents and willingly shares these gifts by singing or playing instruments. There are choirs for all ages in addition to the Chime Ringers.
Most of the common readings in the service are written in inclusive language, but we welcome you to use whatever language you are most comfortable with – inclusive, traditional, or blended. We also have assertive hearing devices available from the ushers. We have recently chosen to follow the Narrative Lectionary, a plan of using scriptures over a four year cycle. Our bible of choice is the New Revised Standard Version. Our worship services are recorded for those who are unable to worship with us on Sunday morning.
