Membership in our music ensembles is open to all. We rejoice in the involvement of everyone wishing to add to the Musical Ministry of our church. Auditions are not needed to join any ensemble. Help us provide joyful and spiritual music for our worship. Christopher Lorimer, Director of Music Ministry.
This dedicated group of singers provides music for worship two to three Sundays each month, from September through May. The choir rehearses on Thursdays from 7:30-9:00 p.m. We also sing on Christmas Eve as well as prepare special music for Passion Sunday and Holy Week. The Chancel Choir sings a wide range of styles from Baroque through Gospel and is open to anyone high school age and over. If you’re not sure you can or want to commit to singing the entire program year, you are very welcome to come to a couple of rehearsals and sing on a Sunday to try it out.

The Gospel Choir provides music for worship about five times each year. They rehearse for two or three weeks before their worship involvement, usually from 6:45-7:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

The Spirit Band uses guitars, keyboard and a spirited team of vocalists to bring music to our worship services four or five times each year. They sing contemporary progressive Christian church music and really get the congregation involved in this rhythmic and joyful music. Rehearsals are usually held two or three weeks preceding Spirit Band lead services.
Lay leader: Valerie Lorimer
The Youth Choir adds their voices to the chancel choir several times each year, and may provide other worship music every couple of months. Rehearsals are after church from 11:15-11:45 when needed to prepare for sharing their gift of music with the church. Membership in the youth choir is open to 6th graders through high school seniors.
Lay leaders: Diane Herr, Laura Heinen
This multi-generational ensemble has provided prelude music for several years and now provides anthem music in addition to other service music. Previous experience playing chimes is not necessary to join this unique ensemble.

Joyful Sound is made up of our (almost) youngest congregants. Children in our pre-school through elementary Sunday school program meet every week during part of their Sunday school class to learn their music. The sounds and faces of these young people always bring smiles and delight to the opening of the worship services in which they participate.
Lay leaders: Cheryl and Aaron Newman
