Stewardship Ministry
What is Stewardship?
All of our abundance or all that we have has been entrusted to us by God to manage in a careful and responsible manner. We really do not own anything. It is not all about money, it’s about a way of life. By naming it a lifestyle, we realize being a good steward takes place daily – year round – not just at an annual financial campaign.
Stewardship is first, foremost and always, a spiritual matter and is part of our Christian living. We are encouraged to use our gifts, time, talent, and money to further God’s mission of love, justice, and peace in our community and the world. Each of us can work to be a good steward of these gifts:
- Creation Care
- Time Care
- Talent Care
- Community Care
- Mind Care
- Body Care
- Money Care
- Spirit Care
Stewardship is not difficult or costly, but very rewarding and an important part of our relationship with God - and it is a very necessary part of worship and important in our growth as a congregation and as Christians.
Stewardship Ministry
The focus of our ministry is to inspire generosity by giving and experiencing the joy of our gifts. The real work of stewardship is the work of generosity in the Spirit of Jesus. (Chairs: Claudia Hackney & Jack Mahoney)

The sense of community at FCC is such a blessing to me and my family. Social action, at the core of FCC, is so incredibly important today and every day to come. We continue to spread peace one seed at a time.
