The UCC has struggled for years with the issues related to Jews, Israel, and the Palestinians. In the past year, members of our church became increasingly concerned about the role of the Christian Zionists in both the media as well as in the funding of further Israeli settlements at the expense of the Palestinians. At the time this resolution was approved by our congregation, there was no "Roadmap to Peace." This is a complex issue and we hope you will read the detailed information. We condemn anti-Semitism, we condemn terrorist attacks, and we support a plan for two states to exist, Israel and Palestine, for peace in the region.
