Music with a Mission is proud to present Amanda DeBoer Bartlett and friends

A classical vocalist and singer-songwriter, Amanda is known for emotionally vibrant and virtuosic performances. Her repertoire effortlessly includes contemporary opera, chamber music, improvisation, folk, and jazz. Amanda is a member of the award-winning Ensemble Dal Niente, a contemporary chamber orchestra, and is at the helm of Quince Ensemble, a treble voice quartet that specializes in the music of living composers. Her debut album, The Bones Still Glow, was released in February 2023.

“I’m so honored to perform for Music With A Mission and can’t wait to meet the community,” Amanda said. “I’ll open the program with a piece for voice and vibraphone called “Lichen Song”. The rest of the program will be original songs played with my friends on violin, piano, guitar, and more vibraphone! The songs will range from folk to country to jazz and explore themes of motherhood, friendship, love, being on the road, crappy hotels, and good neighbors.”

Music With A Mission’s creator Chris Lorimer added, “I’ve known Amanda since her undergraduate days at DePaul University and have always been thrilled by her voice and musical artistry.  She’s an engaging performer who connects easily with her audience. Plus, this will be the first time we’ll hear a vibraphone in a performance. It’s sure to be an entertaining and interesting afternoon of music.”

A goodwill offering from the performance will benefit a community not-for-profit organization.
